IFS officer Parveen Kaswan has set the internet abuzz with a video of an elephant demonstrating what he called a “master’s degree in physics,” and the internet agrees!
In the now-viral 51-second clip, the intelligent giant approaches a wooden pole supporting high-voltage wires in a forest area. What it does next is pure genius: Gently pushes the pole down with its trunk; Carefully flips it over the live wires; Walks across safely without touching the electric fence
“This elephant is a masters in physics,” Kaswan captioned the post, adding that a study documenting such behaviour is in the works.

We also have documented many such incidents, soon study will be published. pic.twitter.com/t9a4i26ikB
This remarkable moment showcases not just the elephant’s intelligence but also its ability to adapt to human-made challenges, highlighting the urgent need for coexistence as wild habitats continue to shrink.
