Amidst a recent development, Mr. Nethrapal (IRS officer) kicked up dirt through a post shared by him on X. In the said post, the IRS officer could be seen examining statistics and pontificating the lack of representation of “backward” classes (based on the Bihar Caste Census 2023) in the state’s organised public and private sectors.
Officer Nethrapal, who is also an author, upheld the data highlighting how a whopping 19.65% of the SC population has just 1.13% representation in government jobs and 0.94% representation in organized private sector jobs.
