Bihar Students to Receive Free Competitive Exam Study Kits: Buxar District Launches Groundbreaking Educational Support Initiative

The Buxar District Planning Office has announced a major initiative to support students from Bhojpur and Buxar who are preparing for competitive examinations such as UPSC, BPSC, SSC, Railways, and Banking. Under the Study Kit Scheme, eligible candidates will receive comprehensive study kits, including books and notebooks, entirely free of cost.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Process for Students

According to Mr. Pranav Pratik, District Planning Officer, students interested in the scheme must submit their applications to the District Planning Office located at Government ITI Charitravan. Applicants must have been registered with the Planning Office for at least six months and should provide proof of application against a government service vacancy.

The eligibility requirements include:

  • Age between 18 and 40 years (depending on exam type)
  • Annual family income below Rs. 1,80,000
  • Minimum educational qualification as per the exam requirement (Intermediate/Graduation/ITI/NSQF-accredited courses)
  • Registration on the National Career Service (NCS) portal for at least six months

Focus on Inclusive Education and Priority for Marginalized Groups

Mr. Pratik emphasized that priority will be given to marginalized communities, including persons with disabilities, transgender individuals, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Economically Backward Classes, Backward Classes, Extremely Backward Classes, and women. Candidates who have already received study kits or tool kits in the past will not be eligible.

Supporting Bihar’s Aspirants for UPSC, BPSC, Banking, and SSC Exams

This scheme aims to reduce financial barriers for aspirants of prestigious examinations like UPSC and BPSC, while also supporting aspirants targeting banking, SSC, and railway positions. By providing essential study materials free of cost, the scheme seeks to improve educational access and foster career development among Bihar’s youth.

Timeline for Application Submission and Kit Distribution

Applications are now open, and selected candidates can expect to receive their study kits within two weeks of submission. The initiative ensures timely access to study resources, enabling students to prepare effectively for competitive exams.
