In a step aimed at deepening inter-state collaboration, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai paid a courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar. The visit comes ahead of Chhattisgarh’s participation in cultural and investor outreach programs, underscoring the state’s focus on both heritage promotion and economic growth.
Mr. Sai’s Gujarat visit coincided with the ongoing Bharat Parv in Ekatnagar, where artists from Chhattisgarh performed on November 10, showcasing the state’s vibrant tribal culture and traditional art forms. The Chief Minister interacted with the performers, encouraging them to represent Chhattisgarh’s cultural diversity on the national stage.
Chhattisgarh Eyes Gujarat’s Vibrant Investment Model
During the meeting, Mr. Sai expressed admiration for Gujarat’s Vibrant Summit model, noting how it has transformed the state into one of India’s leading investment destinations. He discussed plans to hold similar outreach programs ahead of the upcoming Chhattisgarh Investors Connect event, aimed at attracting new industries and investors to his state.
Mr. Patel briefed him on Gujarat’s approach to promoting district-level entrepreneurship through the Regional Vibrant Conference initiative, inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. The initiative focuses on decentralising industrial growth by empowering local enterprises under the ‘Vocal for Local, Local to Global’ framework, helping MSMEs access international markets.
Learning from Gujarat’s Governance Framework
In addition to investment discussions, Mr. Sai held a detailed session with Gujarat’s senior officials, including the Additional Chief Secretary of Industries, to understand the state’s industrial policy and facilitation ecosystem. He also visited the CM Dashboard, developed under the guidance of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, to study how Gujarat monitors real-time delivery of welfare schemes and public services.
The Chhattisgarh Chief Minister was particularly impressed with the dashboard’s citizen feedback system and data-driven transparency mechanisms, expressing interest in replicating similar governance tools in Chhattisgarh to improve service delivery and accountability.
Expanding the Vision for Collaborative Growth
The meeting between the two Chief Ministers also explored ways to enhance cultural exchange and economic cooperation between Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. Senior officials present included Gujarat’s Additional Chief Secretary Ms. Avantika Singh, Secretary Mr. Vikram Pandey, Managing Director of iNDEXTb Mr. Keyur Sampat, and members of the CM Dashboard team.
This high-level interaction highlights Gujarat’s position as a benchmark in investment promotion and transparent governance, while reflecting Chhattisgarh’s intent to adopt innovative, citizen-centric administrative models. The dialogue reinforced both states’ commitment to inclusive growth, industrial progress, and good governance inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
