Addressing the valedictory session of VGRC, Mr. Patel said this massive economic engagement signals a “successful beginning of a success story” for the region and the state. “North Gujarat is not just a geographic location; it is the energy point of future Gujarat,” he declared.
The MoUs promise significant advancements in areas including renewable energy, agriculture, dairy, food processing, automobile components, engineering, and tourism, expected to drive job creation, GDP growth, and per capita income in the state.
From Vision to Reality: VGRC as an Extension of Vibrant Gujarat
This is the first regional edition following 10 editions of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS), originally conceptualized by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in 2003 during his tenure as Gujarat’s Chief Minister.
“From a small start at Tagore Hall in 2003 to hosting 80+ international delegations today, VGRC reflects the maturity of a bold vision, initiated by our Prime Minister,” Mr. Patel said. The government plans to organize VGRCs in all four regions of Gujarat, ensuring that even the most remote villages, talukas, and districts are connected to Gujarat’s global growth story.
Global Confidence Reinforced: 80+ Countries Participate
According to an official release, the VGRC witnessed overwhelming international engagement, with:
- 80+ participating countries
- 29,000+ registrations
