Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren has announced that the Jharkhand government will soon enact a new law aimed at bringing governance directly to people’s doorsteps. Under this proposed legislation, citizens will no longer have to make repeated visits to government offices for essential services. Instead, officials will visit every panchayat and village to resolve people’s issues on priority, ensuring faster delivery of welfare benefits and justice.
Mr. Soren said the law is designed to eliminate bureaucratic hurdles and ensure that poor and disadvantaged sections of society receive their rights without delay. “This initiative will free the people of Jharkhand from the hassle of running around government offices,” he said.
A Step Toward Transparent and Accountable Governance
The Chief Minister made the announcement while addressing a public rally at Tamra Pratibha Manch Ground in Maubhandar, Ghatsila Assembly constituency, on Saturday. He was campaigning in support of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) candidate Mr. Somesh Chandra Soren.
Highlighting the government’s focus on responsive administration, Mr. Soren said officials would play a proactive role in reaching out to citizens, addressing their problems related to welfare schemes, land records, and birth certificates. He assured that discrepancies in public documents, including birth and land records, would be corrected after the elections.
CM Targets BJP, Promises All-Round Development
Taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Mr. Soren accused it of systematically weakening Jharkhand since its formation. He alleged that previous BJP governments had shut down state-run industries and sold them to private entities, leaving thousands of workers jobless.
“Since 2014, we began shaking the BJP government from its roots. By 2019, we started uprooting it to ensure that the poor of Jharkhand get their rights,” Mr. Soren said. He appealed to voters to support Mr. Somesh Soren for the all-round development of the Ghatsila constituency.
Leaders Highlight Welfare and Grassroots Development
The rally also saw participation from several senior leaders, including Transport Minister Mr. Deepak Birua, Higher Education Minister Mr. Sudibya Kumar, Singhbhum MP Ms. Joba Manjhi, Ichagarh MLA Ms. Sabita Mahato, and former MLA Mr. Laxman Tuddu. All leaders echoed the government’s commitment to inclusive growth and equitable governance across the state.
The proposed law, once enacted, is expected to strengthen Jharkhand’s administrative framework and improve access to government services for citizens in remote areas. Political observers view this initiative as a move towards a more transparent, accountable, and people-driven governance model.
