Chhattisgarh has achieved a major national milestone by winning the prestigious Special Appreciation Medal at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025. Held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi from November 14 to 27, the award recognizes the state’s outstanding thematic presentation and innovative display, marking a remarkable achievement as Chhattisgarh celebrates 25 years of its formation.

A Tribute to 25 Years of Statehood

The Chhattisgarh pavilion captivated visitors by presenting the state’s 25-year development journey—highlighting cultural traditions, tribal heritage, livelihood reforms, industrial expansion, tourism growth, and good governance. Through engaging designs and immersive storytelling, the pavilion showcased how the state has evolved into a forward-looking, inclusive, and development-driven region.

Why the Pavilion Stood Out

The pavilion showcased the concept of a “Nava Chhattisgarh,” emphasizing achievements and future goals. A key highlight was the transformation of Bastar, where improved connectivity, better tribal livelihoods, enhanced tourism, and peace-led development have unlocked new potential. Traditional craftsmanship, tribal art, local cuisine, and tourism products reflected the soul of Chhattisgarh with a contemporary touch.

Showcasing Industrial Policy and Future-Ready Projects

A major attraction at the pavilion was Chhattisgarh’s new Industrial Policy 2024–30, which focuses on generating large-scale employment and attracting high-value investments. Two upcoming mega projects—India’s first AI Data Center Park and the state’s first semiconductor plant—were prominently featured. These projects promise thousands of high-quality jobs and highlight Chhattisgarh’s ambition to emerge as a technology-driven, investment-ready state.

Cultural Heritage Meets Modern Technology

GI-tagged Dhokra art, Kosa silk, tribal crafts, and interactive digital installations attracted significant footfall. The blend of cultural richness, modern presentation, and digital storytelling made the pavilion one of the most memorable experiences at IITF 2025.

A Recognition of Confidence and Innovation

The Special Appreciation Medal symbolizes Chhattisgarh’s rising confidence and commitment to innovation-led growth. As one of India’s largest cultural and commercial events, IITF provides a high-value platform for states, ministries, PSUs, MSMEs, startups, and artisans. Chhattisgarh’s recognition strengthens its national identity and showcases its blend of heritage and modern development.

A Vision for a Brighter Future

This national honour encourages Chhattisgarh to further expand its development model, promote public-friendly governance, and drive inclusive growth. As the state steps into its next chapter, the pavilion’s success reflects its dedication to greater innovation, industrial strength, and opportunities for youth.
