Uttarakhand’s Future: CM Dhami Advocates Women Leadership and Active Youth Involvement

At the Literature Festival held at Doon International School in Dalanwala, Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized the critical role of women in leadership. Speaking at the session titled “Women in Power – Leading the Charge,” he said, “All the daughters of the state should become leaders, not just in politics, but in every field.” Mr. Dhami highlighted the importance of empowering women as a key factor for social progress and sustainable development.

Promoting Literature and Cultural Awareness

The Chief Minister released the book “Leading Ladies of India” by Venu Agrahari, underscoring the significance of literature in promoting social and cultural consciousness. He stated, “Our state is a land of literature and culture. The soul of Uttarakhand resides in its culture. Literature also plays an important role in social and cultural awareness.”

Youth Engagement and Political Participation

Addressing students and young leaders, Mr. Dhami encouraged active participation in politics and nation-building. He remarked, “Gen-G should take interest in nation-building. Politics is an important aspect of society. People with good thinking should enter politics.” The Chief Minister reinforced that leadership should be rooted in simplicity, honesty, and alignment with the values of the people.

Promoting Education and Self-Help Initiatives

Mr. Dhami praised Dehradun’s reputation as the “City of Schools,” highlighting the state’s commitment to education and skill development. He also lauded women-led self-help groups for their entrepreneurship, noting that their products are gaining recognition worldwide. “Empowerment of women is necessary for the overall development of society,” he said.

Through his remarks at the Literature Festival, Chief Minister Mr. Dhami stressed the need for women and youth to actively contribute to governance, culture, and social progress. His vision for Uttarakhand emphasizes education, leadership, and cultural pride as pillars of sustainable development.
