New Delhi: On the fourth day of the AI Impact Summit 2026, India emerged as a major beneficiary of global technology investments, with several multinational giants announcing mega deals spanning AI infrastructure, data centers, semiconductor capabilities, and advanced computing.

Companies including Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, Qualcomm, and global investors such as Blackstone have outlined ambitious investment plans that could significantly accelerate India’s AI ecosystem.

AI Impact Summit 2026 India investments: Google’s $15 Billion Bet on India

In one of the biggest announcements, Google CEO Sundar Pichai met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and announced that Google will invest approximately $15 billion in India over the next five years.

Both Pichai and Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind, are attending the summit.

Mega AI Hub in Visakhapatnam

The centrepiece of Google’s investment is the creation of India’s first major AI hub, anchored by a mega AI data center in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

The facility is expected to house:

  • AI model training infrastructure
  • Cloud computing services
  • High-performance computing clusters
  • Advanced AI research capabilities

This project is expected to position India as a key global AI development base.

AI Impact Summit 2026 India Investments: Microsoft’s $50 Billion Global South Commitment

At the AI Impact Summit 2026, Microsoft announced plans to invest $50 billion in the Global South over four years.

This builds upon Microsoft’s earlier announcement of a $17.5 billion investment in India last year, further strengthening its commitment to India’s digital and AI infrastructure.

The investment is expected to support cloud expansion, AI research, skilling initiatives, and enterprise AI integration.

Nvidia’s Big India Play: Chips, AI Factory, and Partnerships

US chipmaker Nvidia outlined ambitious expansion plans in India through multiple partnerships.

Yotta Data Services to Invest $2 Billion

Yotta Data Services announced an investment of over $2 billion in deploying Nvidia’s latest AI chips to build a cutting-edge AI computing hub in India.

The hub is expected to:

  • Boost early-stage AI startups
  • Provide advanced GPU-based computing
  • Strengthen domestic AI training capabilities

Yotta also plans to raise approximately $1.2 billion from investors to fund its expansion.

Nvidia-L&T Mega AI Factory

Nvidia is also preparing to partner with Indian infrastructure giant Larsen & Toubro to establish a mega AI factory in India.

The proposed collaboration could involve investments worth billions of dollars, aimed at building advanced AI manufacturing and computing infrastructure in the country.

Indian Startup Neysa AI Raises $1.2 Billion

Amid global giants, Indian startup Neysa AI drew major attention by raising $1.2 billion (approximately ₹10,000 crore) in funding.

Unlike companies building chatbots or consumer AI applications, Neysa focuses on AI infrastructure development — building the foundational computing and technical backbone required for AI systems.

Global investment major Blackstone has invested in Neysa, signaling strong investor confidence in India’s AI infrastructure potential.

How Will India Benefit?

The mega deals announced at the AI Impact Summit are expected to:

  • Strengthen India’s AI infrastructure
  • Boost semiconductor and GPU-based computing capabilities
  • Generate high-skilled employment
  • Attract further foreign direct investment
  • Accelerate AI-led innovation across sectors
  • Position India as a global AI hub

With investments spanning data centers, AI factories, semiconductor deployment, and startup infrastructure, India appears poised to significantly expand its digital public infrastructure and AI ecosystem.
