Patna, Bihar: As part of Bihar Police Week 2026, a grand parade and annual award ceremony was held at Mithilesh Stadium. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary took the salute during the ceremonial march-past and honored outstanding police officers and courageous civilians for their exemplary service.
Parade Showcases Eight Specialized Police Units
The parade featured eight distinguished contingents, including:
- Bihar Special Armed Police (Patna)
- Bihar Special Armed Police (Gorkha Vahini)
- Bihar Riot Control Unit
- Bihar Swabhiman Special Armed Force
- Bihar Special Armed Police
- Women’s Contingent from Sasaram
The marching display highlighted discipline, coordination, and the professionalism of Bihar Police.

Awards Recognize Excellence in Police Service
During the ceremony, CM Nitish Kumar honored officers for outstanding performance. Key awardees included:

- The widow of the late Bishwa Uraon
Additionally, the central government awarded a certificate of merit to Darbhanga Nagar Police Station for being an exemplary police station, which was handed over to the relevant officer by the CM.
