Raipur: On the special occasion of Teachers’ Day, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated Mission Antariksh and Project Jai Vigyan from the CM residence premises to promote awareness of space science among school children.
During the event, two important agreements were signed — between the Raipur District Administration and Igniting Dreams of Young Mind Foundation, and between the Raipur District Administration and Vigyan Bharati. These partnerships aim to provide children with deeper insights into space-related subjects and scientific learning opportunities.
Tribute to Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla
The Chief Minister, on behalf of the people of the state, congratulated and felicitated Group Captain Mr. Shubhanshu Shukla for his successful space journey. Calling his achievement “an inspiration for the youth of the country,” CM Sai extended warm wishes and highlighted the role of teachers in shaping society.

Building Scientific Temper in Children
Applauding the district administration’s initiative, CM Sai said the objective of these agreements is to develop scientific temperament among school students and to foster curiosity and enthusiasm towards science. “Science is not limited to laboratories; it is a way of thinking and living. It teaches us to question, reason, and find solutions,” he remarked.
He expressed confidence that through Project Jai Vigyan, workshops, science exhibitions, competitions, and innovative projects will encourage children to learn new things and build self-confidence. “This initiative will help the children of Chhattisgarh evolve from being consumers of knowledge to becoming creators of new ideas and discoveries. This is the true foundation of an Atmanirbhar Bharat and a science-driven society,” he added.

Inspiration from Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla
Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla shared his space journey experiences with children, saying, “The opportunity the country has given me is my responsibility to pass on to future generations.” He thanked CM Sai for giving importance to science and education-driven initiatives. “When the state leadership values such programs, it has a positive impact on society and inspires children to aim for greater heights,” he said.
