Where on one hand nature amazes us with it’s glory, on the other hand there are some things which sparks curiosity and pique our interest as well. One such image is getting viral on twitter, Indian Forest Service officer Dr Samrat Gowda who is the Deputy Director, Similipal Tiger Reserve shared a picture of a fungus which looks like fingers of a dead man.
The caption read, “Can you guess the what is this?” To which twitter users flooded the comment section with many guesses. Some users said, “I think they r tabu’s legs from bhool bhulaiyaa 2,” while the other reacted saying, “The Nun”.
Mr. Gowda in a separate tweet later mentioned the right answer of the viral picture. His tweet read, “This is Xylaria polymorpha, a fungus commonly known as dead man’s finger.”
