Outgoing Chief Secretary of Maharashtra, Manu Kumar Srivastava, a 1986 batch of IAS officer, will become the new Chief Commissioner, Right to Guarantee of Services (RGS).
The post has been vacant since the tenure of former Chief Secretary Retd. officer Swdheen Kshatriya of Maharashtra cadre ended. Srivastava is set to retire on April 30.
Meanwhile, 1989 batch IAS officer Baldev Singh (MH cadre), the former Additional Chief Secretary (Industries), will be the RGS Commissioner for Konkan.
The government also gave additional charge of chief information commissioner to information commissioner Sunil Porwal after end of tenure of Sumit Mullick on April 12.
