The Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi has removed Ashish Madhaorao More, a 2005 batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre, as Service Secretary and appointed Anil Kumar Singh, a 1995-batch IAS of the same cadre, who has held several key positions in the past, including CEO of the Delhi Jal Board, in More’s place.
The order came within hours after the Supreme Court verdict on Thursday giving Delhi government control over transfer-posting of officers. The service department was under the control of Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor (LG) before the verdict.
