On March 16th, a 2016 batch IAS officer, Mr. Atul Vats, assumed office as the vice-chairperson of the Ghaziabad Development Authority.
Officer Vats had started his stint with the bureaucracy by serving as the assistant magistrate of Sonbhadra and later assumed office as the District Magistrate of Mau. In September 2022, while serving as the chief development officer of Sultanpur, he was transferred as the vice-chairperson of Aligarh Development Authority.
Mr. Vats relieved Mr. Indra Vikram Singh (2010 batch IAS), the incumbent DM of Ghaziabad, from his additional charge as the Vice Chairperson of GDA.
