Punjab: 24 IPS Officers Transferred, Naveen Singla Made DIG, Jalandhar Range

The government of Punjab recently transferred as many as 24 IPS (including 15 Senior Superintendents of Police) and 4 PPS officers across the state.

The IPS transferees are:

Mr. Satinder Singh (2010 batch), last posted as the Amritsar Rural SSP, has been posted as DIG, border range, replacing Mr. Rakesh Kaushal (2009 batch), who is the new DIG, crime.

Mr. Naveen Singla (2009 batch), last posted as DIG of intelligence, replaced Mr. Harmanbir Singh Gill (2010 batch) as the DIG of the Jalandhar range. Officer Gill has been transferred as Joint Director in the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Police Academy in Phillaur.

Mr. Ashwani Kapur (2010 batch), last posted as SSP of Tarn Taran, has been transferred as DIG in the Faridkot range, while Faridkot district police chief Mr. Harjeet Singh (2010 batch) was promoted to the post of DIG in the Vigilance Bureau.

Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar (2004 batch) and Gurmeet Singh Chauhan (2011 batch) have been posted at IGP, provisioning, and AIG, Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), respectively.

Mr. Deepak Pareek (2014 batch), last posted as Bathinda SSP, became the new Mohali SSP, while Mr. Sandeep Kumar Garg (2012 batch) has become AIG, intelligence-III, Mohali.

Mr. Ankur Gupta (2016 batch), last posted as Jalandhar Rural SSP became the Moga district police chief replacing Mr. Vivek Sheel Soni (2011 batch), while the latter has been transferred as AIG, personnel-1.

Mr. Nanak Singh (2011 batch), last posted as Mansa SSP, replaces Mr. Varun Sharma (2014 batch) as the Patiala district police chief. Officer Sharma has been transferred as AIG, provisioning with an additional charge of Sadak Surakhiya Force (SSF) SSP.

Mr. Bhagirath Singh Meena (2013 batch) became the new Mansa SSP, while Mr. Tushar Gupta (2018 batch) replaced him as the Muktsar SSP.

Mr. Gaurav Toora (2014 batch), last posted as AIG in provisioning, has been transferred to the Tarn Taran SSP. IPS Simrat Kaur (2016 batch) has been given the charge of AIG of counterintelligence in Patiala.

Mr Amneet Kondal (2012 batch) became the new Bathinda district police chief, while Mr. Charanjit Singh (2013 batch) has been transferred to the Amritsar Rural SSP.

Mr. Suhail Qasim Mir (2017 batch), last posted as the Pathankot SSP, replaces Mr. Ashwini Gotyal (2016 batch) as the Batala SSP. Officer Gotyal will be the new Khanna SSP.

Mr. Daljinder Singh Dhillon (), who was AIG, CID, Jalandhar, has been transferred as the new Pathankot SSP.

Ms. Pragya Jain (2017 batch), last posted as the Fazilka SSP, became the new Faridkot district police chief.

IPS Officer Darpan Ahluwalia (2020 batch), who was ADCP-1, Amritsar, has been posted as a staff officer to the Punjab Director General of Police.
