He is an alumnus of the National Military School, Dholpur, Rajasthan, where he studied from 1980 to 1986, completing his 12th standard. Vice Admiral Pramod is a Sea King Air Operations specialist and a Communication & Electronic Warfare expert. He has completed the Staff Course at the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC) in Wellington (Nilgiris) and the Naval Higher Command Course at the Naval War College (NWC) in Goa.
