Supercop P Vijayan has given a totally new meaning to policing. A man of vision and a change maker, he has proved that policing is not only about maintaining law and order and goes much beyond that, with his initiatives like Student Police Cadets, Punayam Poonkavanam, and Mission Better Tomorrow that changed so many lives.
A believer of ‘potentiality is the greatest possibility’, he is one of the pioneers of community policing in the country.
For his pioneering work and path-breaking initiatives, Mr. Vijayan, who is currently the Inspector General of Police, Kochi, has received appreciation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi several times.
In this video interview, we try to find out from him about his successes and how he managed to achieve so much in a short span. While discussing his much-lauded initiatives in details, we also ask him about what he views as his failures.
