P K Sidharth Ramkumar’s recent triumph in the UPSC Civil Services Exam of 2023 wasn’t merely a personal victory; it was a joyous surprise for his family. This achievement marked the culmination of a five-year journey for Sidharth, one that commenced in 2019. His first attempt concluded at the prelims stage. In 2020, despite not making it to the rank list, he secured a place in the reserve list and a job in the Indian Post and Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service. In 2021, his perseverance bore fruit with All India Rank 181, earning him a position in the IPS. The subsequent year, he upheld his dedication, clinching AIR 121 while simultaneously serving as an IPS officer.
He is currently undergoing training at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad.
Sidharth’s narrative extends beyond his impressive exam results. Originally from Kochi, Kerala, he graduated in architecture from the College of Architecture, Thiruvananthapuram, in 2019. And, thereafter, he embarked upon his UPSC journey that culminated in clinching a position in the Top 5 in CSE 2023.
