Ex-chief of Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) Samant Goel may seem like down due to the fall-out of alleged assassination plot of US-based terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun but he is not out for sure.
At a farewell party organised for him at a police chief’s residence a couple of weeks back both – National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and his successor and current R&AW chief Ravi Sinha heaped praise on him for the stupendous work he did as the chief of the country’s external intelligence agency.
It must have been music to ears of Goel, especially kind words from his former boss Doval. It was during Goel’s tenure, R&AW really spread its wings and became the external intelligence agency that a country like India, with global footprints now, deserve.
