IFS Bandaru Wilsonbabu Appointed As The Next Ambassador of India to The Republic of Madagascar

Wilsonbabu is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs and is expected to take up the assignment shortly.

2004 batch IFS officer Bandaru Wilsonbabu has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Madagascar on 26 September, 2022. He will be replacing ambassador Abhay Kumar, a 2003 batch IFS officer.

Wilsonbabu is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs and is expected to take up the assignment shortly.

India and Madagascar enjoy cordial bilateral relations with cooperation on multiple fronts. Madagascar generally supports India’s candidature in the multinational fora.
