Four senior IAS given additional charges in Himachal

Mr. Omkar who is serving as Principal Secretary, Tribal Development has been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Technical Education.

The Himachal Pradesh government has given additional responsibilities to some senior officers in the state. The order declaring the added responsibilities has affected four IAS officers. They are Omkar Chand Sharma, Dr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Harbans Singh Brascon and Rakesh Kumar Prajapati.

A 1994 batch officer, Mr. Omkar who is serving as Principal Secretary, Tribal Development has been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Technical Education. Whereas Secretary, Agriculture and Printing and Stationery Dr. Sharma (2003) has been given the additional charges of Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Secretary, Ayurveda.

2015 batch office Mr. Harbans Singh Brascon has been assigned with the additional charge of Special Secretary to the Chief Minister. He is presently posted as Director, Information and Public Relation, Shimla.

Rakesh Kumar Prajapati  has been given the additional charges of Managing Director (MD), Himachal Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation, Shimla and MD, General Industries Corporation, Shimla. A 2012 batch officer Mr. Prajapati is currently serving as Director, Industries.
