The hilly state of Himachal Pradesh is waiting for the panchayat elections this year. Before this, the state government had once again ordered a major reshuffle at administrative level. According to the new orders given by the chief secretary to the government on Monday, 22 IAS will be taking in charge of their new role very soon. While Aditya Negi has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of the state’s capital Shimla, six other district also got new DC.
Mr. Negi is an officer of 2013 batch. Previously, he was posted as the Member Secretary, HP State Pollution Control Board. He will be replacing Amit Kashyap as the DC. Mr. Kashyap will now be the Labour Commissioner-cum-Director Employment. Along with him Debasweta Banik and Rohit Jamwal has been appointed as the DC of Hamirpur and Bilaspur respectively. Mr. Banik has took up the place of Harikesh Meena.
Raghav Sharma, Duni Chand Rana, Hemraj Bairwa and Pankraj will be the new collectors of Una, Chamba, Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti respectively.
Other than DCs there were several other postings as well. Mr. Rajeshwar Goel, has been assigned with the duty of MD, HPMC while Harikesh Meena has been posted as Director Energy. Mr. Meena will be taking place of Manasi Sahay Thakur who is now the MD, HP Civil Services Corporation. Kamal Kant Saroch will take up new charge as Director, TCP. On the other hand, IAS officer Sandeep Kumar will be the Director (Personnel) HPSEB while, Vivek Bhatia who has been posted as Director, Empowerment of SCs, OBCs and Specially Abled.
