Abhay Kumar Singh, an Indian Administrative Service(IAS) Officer of 2004 batch Bihar cadre has been appointed as joint secretary in the Ministry of Cooperation for a combined tenure of seven years. The ministry was formed to strengthen the cooperative movement in the country.
According to the order by the Department of Personnel and Training(DoPT), the appointment has been cleared by the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet(ACC), which is headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Vijay Lakshmi Nadendla an IAS Officer of the 1995 batch of Bihar cadre has been appointed as joint secretary of the Department of Agriculture and Priya Rajan an Indian Forest Service(IFS) Officer of 1998 batch of the Rajasthan cadre has been appointed as Department of Farmers Welfare.
Pranab Kumar Meherda an IAS Officer of the 1997 batch of Odisha cadre has been appointed as managing director in National Food Security Mission(NFSM) under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare with an additional charge of the post of secretary Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board(ASRB).
Kavita Garg, an Indian Defence Accounts Service Officer of the 1999 batch has been named as joint secretary in the Ministry of AYUSH.
Kavita Singh an IAS Officer of the 1999 batch of Tamil Nadu cadre has been named as executive director of India Trade Promotion Organisation(ITPO) under the Department of Commerce.
The ACC has cleared the appointment of Madnesh Kumar Mishra, an Indian Revenue Service officer of the 1990 batch as joint secretary in the Ministry of Culture and Dinesh Kumar an IAS Officer of the 2004 batch of Nagaland cadre as joint secretary in the Department of Defence.
The ACC has also cleared the appointment of Sanjay Kumar a 1995 batch Indian Audit and Accounts Service Officer as to additional FA and joint secretary under the Ministry of Defence(Finance), Vedveer Arya a 1997 batch Indian Defence Accounts Service officer as additional FA and joint secretary in the Ministry of Defence(Finance) and Peeyush Kumar is an IAS officer of the 1997 batch of Andhra Pradesh cadre as a joint secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs.
Sreekanth T an IAS Officer of the 2004 batch is appointed as Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India and Shailendra Singh an IFoS officer of the 1997 batch is named Deputy Director General(DDG), UIDAI headquarters in New Delhi under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
According to the ministry order, the ACC approved appointments/premature repatriations of many officers at the Joint Secretary equivalent level.
