Seven IAS officers from the General Administration Department of Bihar have got promotions. In this, 5 have got promotion in the level of Principal Secretary, while 2 have got promotion in the level of Special Secretary. The department has issued a notification regarding this.
IAS officers appointed at the secretary level have been promoted to the next grade. Of these, 5 officers of 1997 batch have been promoted to higher administrative grade-15. Five IAS officers of 2006 batch have been promoted to Higher Administrative Grade-14.
Apart from this, two IAS officers of 2009 batch, Additional Secretary, Disaster Management M Ramachandratudu and State Transport Commissioner Seema Tripathi have been promoted to Grade-13 of Special Secretary. This promotion will be applicable from January 1 next year.
Among the officers of the 1997 batch who have been promoted to Grade-15, the name of Robert L Chongthu, Secretary to the Governor of Bihar, is also included. The names of Santosh Kumar Mall, Secretary, Department of Information Technology, Pankaj Kumar, Secretary, Department of Backward Classes and Most Backward Welfare Department, Sanjeev Hans, Secretary, Department of Energy, Mrs. Safin AN, Secretary, Minorities Department are included with them.
