In a major reshuffle in administrative services in Assam, the Himanta Biswa Sarma led state government transferred and posted as many as 6 IAS officers, including DCs and ACS officers across the state on 22 July.
2009 batch IAS officer Biswajit Pegu, who is District Commissioner of Dibrugarh, has been transferred and posted as Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home and Political Department.
Varnali Deka, an IAS officer of 2009 batch, is transferred and posted as District Commissioner, Nalbari. She was serving as District Commissioner, Kokrajhar and Director of Training, Bodoland Administrative Staff College, Kokrajhar, and Secretary, Bodoland Territorial Region.
2014 batch IAS officer Bikram Kairi (IAS) has been transferred and posted as Dibrugarh District Commissioner. He was working as Panchayat & Rural Development Commissioner and MD of Swaccha Bharat Mission (Gramin).
Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi, an IAS officer of 2019 batch and Additional District Commissioner, i/c, Bajali is transferred and posted as District Commissioner, Kokrajhar & Director of Training, Bodoland Administrative Staff College, Kokrajhar and Secretary, Bodoland Territorial Region as additional charge.
2019 batch IAS officer Jay Shivani who is Additional District Commissioner, i/c, Biswanath has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Panchayat & Rural Development, Assam and MD, Swaccha Bharat Mission (Gramin) as additional charge.
Neha Yadav, a 2019-batch IAS officer and Additional District Commissioner, i/c, Bokakhat, is transferred and posted as Additional District Commissioner, i/c, Biswanath.
On the other hand, Nalbari District Commissioner Gitimoni Phukan (ACS) has been made Additional Secretary to the Government of Assam, Public Health Engineering Department and Additional Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission as additional charge; and Public Health Engineering Department Joint Secretary and Additional Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission Mridul Kumar Das (ACS) made Additional District Commissioner, i/c, Bajali.
