Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle of IAS officers in Andhra Pradesh, 17 New DCs Appointed

17 IAS officers have been posted as District Collectors whereas, state government had also appointed joint collectors to all 26 districts.

In a major shuffling of All India Service (AIS) officers, the state government has appointed districts collectors and SPs to the new districts. The government had also shifted several state-level officers to the new places.

Interestingly, the state government has retained as many as nine district collectors in the existing places while posting new collectors to the remaining 17 districts. The state government had also appointed joint collectors to all 26 districts.

The government affected the transfer of IAS and IPS officers little before the release of the final notification for reorganization of the districts.

All the officers posted to the new districts have been directed to rush to their respective areas and assume charge on Sunday itself.

Women officers would be heading at least six districts as collectors. Interestingly, several couples serving as All India Service (AIS) officers got the chance to work as district collectors in neighbouring districts.
District collectors of Krishna (J Nivas), Guntur (Vivek Yadav), East Godavari (Chevuri Harikiran) and Prakasam (Pravin Kumar) were moved to the state-level posts. Srikesh Lathkar (Srikakulam), Suryakumari (Vizianagaram), A Mallikharjuna (Visakhapatnam), KVN Chakradhar Babu (Nellore), Harinarayan (Chittoor) Vijayaramaju (Kadapa), P Koteswara Rao (Kurnool) and S Nagalakshmi (Anathapuram) were continued as district collectors in the existing places.

CFMS CEO Ravi Subhash Pattamsetti was posted as new district collector in Anakapalli while Sumith Kumar was appointed as collector to Alluri Sitharama Raju.

Vizag joint collector M Venugopala Reddy has been posted as Guntur district collector. Vijayawada joint collector Sivasankar Lotheti has been posted as Palnadu district collector.

Four municipal commissioners have been withdrawn from municipal administration department and posted as district collectors. Guntur municipal commissioner Nishant Kumar was moved as Parvathipuram Manyam district collector, Vijayawada municipal commissioner Ranjith Basha has been posted as Krishna district collector. Civil supplies director Dilli Rao has been posted as NTR district collector.

Guntur joint collector AS Dinesh Kumar is placed as Prakasam district collector and his wife K Vijaya was posted as new district collector of Bapatla. Tirupati municipal commissioner PS Girisha was shifted as Annamayya district collector and Tuda vice-chairman Venkata Ramana Reddy has been posted as Tirupati collector. Kurnool joint collector Manzeer Jilani Samoon has been moved to Nandyal as district collector. P Basanth Kumar has been posted as district collector in Sri Satya Sai district.

Chief secretary’s executive secretary P Prasanthi has been shifted to West Godavari district collector, Vijayawada joint collector Madhavi Latha has been posted as East Godavari district collector. The women and child welfare commissioner Kritika Shukla was posted as Kakinada collector while her husband Himanshu Shukla has been posted as Konaseema district collector. Prasanna Venkatesh has been posted as West Godavari district collector.
