On Monday, the Punjab government released its first transfer order after Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi took over as Chief Minister of Punjab.
The order states that Mr. Hussan Lal has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Punjab. He is a 1995 batch senior IAS officer. He will replace incumbent IAS officer Mr. Tejveer Singh. Earlier Mr. Hussan Lal was posted as Principal Secretary, Investment Promotion. He was holding the additional charge as Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce, and Principal Secretary, Information Technology.
Whereas IAS officer Mr. Rahul Tiwari has been appointed as Special Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Punjab. He is a 2000 batch IAS officer. He will replace Mr. Gurkirat Singh. Earlier Mr. Rahul Tiwari was posted as Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs. He was also holding the additional charges as Mission Director, Punjab Skill Development Mission, Nodal officer, Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign (Department of Home), and Secretary, Home Affairs.
