Kanpur: Vishak G Iyer, Special Secretary to Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh has been appointed as District Magistrate, Kanpur Nagar replacing IAS officer, Alok Tiwari, who in turn has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Union Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh on Tuesday.
Mr. Iyer belongs to 2011 IAS batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre. He had also served as Director of Civil Aviation, UP, while Mr. Tiwari belongs to 2007 IAS batch of UP cadre.
Presently, the post of DM, Kanpur is with Chief Development Officer (CDO) Dr. Mahendra Kumar, since there is no official notice for Mr. Vishak G. Iyer’s appointment for DM, Kanpur yet.
