In a major reshuffle, 23 IPS officers were promoted by the UP government on this new years eve. As per Additional chief secretary, Home, Awanish Awasthi six officers were promoted from DIG to IG, eight from SSP to DIG and nine officers were given selection grade.
Officers who have been promoted to the rank of IG are Modak Rajesh, Vinay Kumar Yadav, Hira Lal, Shiv Shanker Singh, Dr Rakesh Singh and Rajesh Kumar Pandey. Whereas, the officers got promoted to the rank of DIG are Amit Pathak, Vinod Kumar Singh, Jogendra Kumar, Ravi Shanker Chavi, Ms Pratibha Ambedkar, Nitin Tiwari, Ashok Kumar(3)and Anil Kumar Singh.
Lastly, the IPS officers who were given selection grade are Sureshwar Anand Kulkarni, Amit Verma, Ms Bharati Singh, Vipin Kumar Mishra, Madhav Prasad Verma, Sabha Raj, Swami Prasad, Saumitra Yadav and Ramesh.
