Chhattisgarh: Government Promoted 17 IPS Officers

Promotion is given after completion of 13-14 years of service. Three officers serving on central deputation have been given proforma promotion

The Chhattisgarh Government has promoted 17 IPS officers. Promotion is given after completion of 13-14 years of service. Three officers serving on central deputation have been given proforma promotion.

According to the order issued on Saturday by Manoj Kumar Srivastava, Under Secretary, Home Department on the instructions of the state government, IG Sundarraj P, in-charge of Bastar range of 2003 batch, IG Ratanlal Dangi, in-charge of Bilaspur, IG OP Paul, in-charge of Durg, SC Dwivedi posted in PHQ and RP Sai has been made IG. IPS Abhishek Shandilya of 2007 batch, Ram Gopal Garg and Neethu Kamal of 2008 batch posted on central deputation have also been given proforma promotions. They will be given the post on their return after the expiry of the period of deputation, but the increment will be applicable.

Home Department has promoted four officers of 2007 batch and made them DIG. In this, the names of Bastar SP Jitendra Singh Meena, Bilaspur SP Deepak Kumar Jha, 19th Battalion of CAF Jagdalpur fighter DK Garg and in charge of Kanker DIG Balaji Rao Somawar are included.

The pay grade of 5 IPS officers of 2008 batch has been increased. This has been done after completing 13 years of service. In this, the names of Gariaband SP Parul Mathur, Raipur SP Prashant Kumar Agarwal, AIG Mila Kurre at Police Headquarters, Bijapur SP Kamlochan Kashyap, KL Dhruv, a fighter of the 2nd Battalion of CAF based in Bilaspur, are included.
