The Haryana government on Tuesday confirmed the deemed suspension of dubious IPS official Hemant Kalson, who was captured on August 22 in Panchkula. On the same day, he was booked under the charges of trying to outrage the modesty of a woman, wrongdoing openly in a condition of inebriation, house trespass and intentionally causing hurt in two separate cases.
According to the rule 3 (2) of the All India Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, an individual from the administration who has been detained whether on a criminal allegation or in any case for a period longer than 48 hours, will be considered as suspended by the government.
A September-1 home department order stated that the state government has affirmed Kalson’s suspension with impact from August 24, 48 hours after he was captured at Pinjore. The home department has also requested the director general of police to send the draft of a chargesheet against the delinquent official.
Kalson, an IG-rank official, has reportedly attacked two ladies and a man subsequent to intruding into their homes at Pinjore.
The lady in her complaint asserted that, on Friday, Kalson barged into her home without permission and assaulted her girl.
Notwithstanding, this isn’t Kalson’s first wrongdoing. He was deprived of his obligations as an election observer in Tamil Nadu in 2019 after he discharged aerial shots from the gun of a security official posted at the circuit house where he was staying. Hence, he was put under suspension. His suspension was rescinded a couple of months earlier.
