1995 batch IPS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre Munna Prasad Gupta and 1998 batch IPS officer of Kerala cadre, Ashok Yadav have been appointed as Inspector General (IG), Border Security Force (BSF) for a period of five years.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on 13th October, 2022, the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Gupta and Mr. Yadav to the post for a period of five years on deputation basis from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
