IPS Diganta Bora Made Home Secretary in Assam

For the first time ever, the government of Assam appointed an IPS officer to the post of Home Secretary in the state.

The Assam government has appointed an IPS officer to the post of Secretary, Home Department, Assam for the first time ever. 2004 batch IPS officer Diganta Bora has been appointed to the position.

Bora was earlier posted as the Deputy General of Police (Admin), Assam in Guwahati.
