Amit Garg, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of 1993 batch, has been appointed as the Additional Director, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad for a period of two years.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs to appoint Mr. Garg to the post for a period of two years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Presently, he is serving as Joint Director, SVPNPA, Hyderabad.
