An order has been issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), appointing the senior IPS officers Supriya Patil Yadav as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and N Venu Gopal as Joint Director (JD), in the CBI.
Yadav is a 2004- batch IPS officer of Maharashtra cadre. She has been appointed on a lateral shift basis from the Intelligence Bureau for the remaining period of her Deputation, which is up to April 17, 2024.
Gopal, a 1995- batch IPS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been inducted as the JD for the next five years.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the tenure extension of Anurag, who is the IPS officer of the Tripura cadre, for more than six months as the Joint Director in the CBI.
