In an another major bureaucratic reshuffle, Yogi government has transferred and post 7 IPS officers. Kanpur Police Commissioner Vijay Kumar Meena has been removed. Along with this, Lucknow Police Commissioner DK Thakur has also been transferred.
Both the police commissioners removed from Kanpur and Lucknow have been put in waiting.
IPS officer SB Shirodkar, who was ADG Intelligence, has been made the new Police Commissioner of Lucknow. While IPS officer BP Jogdand, who is currently working as ADG Police Headquarters, has been made the new Police Commissioner of Kanpur.
IPS officer DK Thakur and IPS officer Vijay Kumar Meena have been put in waiting making the ADG Headquarters.
Apart from this, Vijay Kumar, who was DG Home Guards, has been made DG CBCID. Gopal Lal Meena, who was DG CBCID, has been given the charge of DG Cooperative Cell.
Apart from this, IPS officer Vijay Kumar Maurya, who was DG Logistics, has been given the charge of DG Logistics along with DG Home Guards. By removing Kanpur and Lucknow Police Commissioners, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a strong message to the big officers who are unable to control crime. In recent times, the crime graph in Kanpur had increased rapidly.
