Uttar Pradesh: 16 IPS Officers Transferred in UP, Commissioner Posted in 3 New Police Commissionerates, IPS Ashok Mutha Jain Will Be First Commissioner of Varanasi

Yogi government transferred 16 IPS officers. CP of Noida shifted, Ghaziabad and Agra got their first police commissioner too.

After the announcement of formation of Police Commissionerate in Ghaziabad, Agra and Prayagraj, many speculations were being made in the name of the commissioner, it came to an end late on Monday night.

The UP government has transferred 16 IPS officers late on Monday night. In these, along with posting of police commissioners in the new police commissionerate established in Agra, Ghaziabad and Prayagraj, new officers have also been posted in three ranges and three districts. On the other hand, the commissioners of Gautam Buddha Nagar and Varanasi have been changed.

Uttar Pradesh government has given opportunity to IG level officers in Police Commissionerate. IG Dr. Pritinder Singh in Agra, IG Ramit Sharma in Prayagraj, IG Ajay Mishra in Ghaziabad and IG Laxmi Singh in Gautam Budh Nagar have been made Police Commissioners, while the new Police Commissioner of Varanasi has been made ADG Ashok Mutha Jain, who was recently deputed from central deputation.

After coming back from central deputation, IG Ajay Mishra, who is still waiting, has also been entrusted with important responsibility as Police Commissioner. IG Tarun Gaba, who was posted as Secretary in the Home Department, has also been posted in the field. He has been made IG Lucknow range.

Apart from this, new postings have been made in Bareilly and Prayagraj ranges. The command of Ayodhya, Bahraich and Mathura has also been changed. There is also a preparation for transfer of other officers in the police department soon. Soon other new officers will also be posted in Agra, Ghaziabad and Prayagraj commissionerates.
