In a significant administrative reshuffle, the government late on Monday night made substantial changes to the responsibilities of 26 officers, including 13 IAS and 10 IPS officers. The changes aim to streamline operations and reinforce key departments within the state.
According to an official order issued by Deputy Secretary Anil Joshi, several prominent changes have been announced:
- IAS Jugal Kishore Pant has been assigned the additional responsibility of Secretary of the Language Department.
- IAS Sonika has been given the additional charge of Additional Secretary in the Civil Aviation Department.
- IAS Reena Joshi will now also serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the State Health Authority, while the charge of Additional Secretary of Planning has been removed from IAS Vineet Kumar.
- IAS Anand Shrivastava has been appointed as Additional Secretary of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, taking over from IAS Manuj Goyal, who will now also handle the responsibilities of Additional Secretary in the Sainik Welfare and Higher Education Department.
- IAS Himanshu Khurana will take on the additional charge of Additional Secretary in the Finance Department.
- IAS Abhishek Ruhela has been assigned the responsibility of Additional Secretary for Skill Development and Service Scheme.
- IAS Nitika Khandelwal will now serve as the Additional Secretary of Information Technology, while IAS Anuradha Pal has been appointed as the Project Director of REAP.
- IAS Gaurav Kumar has been appointed as Director of Urban Development, and IAS Varun Chaudhary, previously Municipal Commissioner of Haridwar, will take on the responsibility of Additional Secretary for Medical Health and Family Welfare.
In a noteworthy change, IAS Nandan Kumar has been posted as the new Municipal Commissioner of Haridwar, replacing Varun Chaudhary, who has been moved to a new role. PCS Nidhi Yadav has been given the additional responsibility of Additional Secretary for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Additionally, Mahavir Singh Chauhan of the Secretariat Service has been appointed as Additional Secretary for General Administration, while Shyam Singh, also of the Secretariat Service, will take on the role of Additional Secretary for Sugarcane Development and Sugar Industry.
These changes are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and governance by restructuring the responsibilities of key officers across various departments.
