The Karnataka government has announced a bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring senior IAS officers to new positions.
Dr. Jagadeesha K G, a 2005-batch IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre, has been appointed as Secretary of the Higher Education Department. His earlier posting as Secretary of the Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Sciences, and Fisheries Department has been withdrawn. With this appointment, he relieves Mr. Srikar M S, IAS, from the role.
In another major change, Mr. Naveen Kumar Raju S, a 2017-batch IAS officer, has been transferred from his position as Executive Director of the Karnataka State Mineral Corporation Limited, Bengaluru. He will now serve as Zonal Commissioner of Dasarahalli, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Bengaluru.
These transfers reflect the state government’s focus on strengthening administrative efficiency in key departments.
