Recently, 20 trainee IAS, IPS, IRS, and IFS officers of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) Mussoorie visited the vibrant villages in Darma Valley. During this visit, they inquired the locals about their culture, livelihood, and problems. Under the leadership of IAS Tushar Negi (2023 batch), the budding bureaucrats reached Gram Panchayat Dar, Son Dugtu, Tindang, Marchha and Pratham village Sipu.
Under the supervision of the Second Commanding Officer of 36 Corps ITBP Lohaghat Begraj Meena, Assistant Commandant Narayan Singh Garkhal and CMO, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, and the training officers under the supervision of the soldiers reached Sipu, the last village situated at an altitude of 11820 feet in Darma valley. Upon their arrival, villagers welcomed them with drums and traditional costumes. They were also presented with the Brahma Lotus flower. On reaching the village, the officials along with the villagers offered prayers at the Mahadev temple.
Sipu resident and former ITBP inspector Gyan Singh and villagers told the officials about the basic problems of the village. After this, the officers reached village Saun Dugtu and Dar. Social workers Ram Singh Sonal and Laxman Singh Daryal welcomed the officials and told them about the basic problems of the respective villages.
