Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring three IAS officers and 18 senior PCS officers on Thursday, in a move aimed at streamlining governance across the state.
1994 batch IAS officer Amit Kumar Ghosh, returning from central deputation, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary, Secretariat Administration, replacing K. Ravindra Nayak, an IAS officer of 1995 batch. Mr Ghosh will also handle portfolios including Administrative Reforms and Public Service Management, as well as the Directorship of the Administrative Reforms Directorate. Additionally, he has been given charge of the Dairy Development, Fisheries, and Animal Husbandry departments.
2022 batch IAS officer Diksha Joshi, Joint Magistrate Hardoi, posted to Meerut in the same capacity.
Among PCS officers, notable changes include:
- Amresh Kumar, Deputy Director Mandi Parishad Lucknow, made ADM (Administration) Mathura.
- Dayanand Prasad, Additional Mela Adhikari Prayagraj, now Additional Director (Administration), Agriculture Directorate.
- Abhinav Pathak, formerly Special Executive Officer Kumbh Mela, becomes SDM Agra.
- Alok Gupta, also from Kumbh Mela duties, posted as SDM Kanpur Nagar.
- Sunil Kumar Jha, from Revenue Council, now Registrar, Major Dhyan Chand Sports University, Meerut.
Other key transfers include:
- Navneet Goyal to ADM (Judicial) Maharajganj.
- Gyanendra Nath to SDM Prayagraj.
- Pushpraj Singh to Secretary, Gorakhpur Development Authority.
- Sumit Singh, SDM Aligarh; Anshika Dixit, SDM Bijnor.
- Sanjay Kumar Singh and Narendra Bahadur Singh swapped roles between Muzaffarnagar and Lakhimpur Kheri as ADM (Administration).
- Ajit Kumar Singh becomes GM, UP Sugar Mills Association.
- Vinita Singh becomes Secretary, Development Authority Prayagraj.
- Siddharth Chaudhary, SDM Etawah; Paritosh Mishra, SDM Aligarh.
- Shailesh Kumar Dubey and Sudhir Kumar exchanged positions between Sant Kabirnagar and Amroha.
