The Uttar Pradesh Government has carried out a key reshuffle of three senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, all of whom are of the rank of Additional Director General of Police.

Mr. D.K. Thakur, a 1994-batch IPS officer, who was serving as the Additional Director General of Police, Meerut Zone, has been appointed as the Additional Director General of Police, Special Security Force (SSF), Uttar Pradesh, based in Lucknow.
Mr. Bhanu Bhaskar, a 1996-batch IPS officer, previously posted as the Additional Director General of Police, Prayagraj Zone, has been transferred and posted as the Additional Director General of Police, Meerut Zone.
Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, a 1999-batch IPS officer, who was last serving as Additional Director General of Police and Secretary (Home) in the Uttar Pradesh Government at Lucknow, has now been appointed as the Additional Director General of Police, Prayagraj Zone.
The transfers come as part of the state’s ongoing efforts to optimize senior-level leadership within the police force.
