3 Senior IPS Officers Transferred in Bihar, Amit Lodha Made ADGP, State Crime Records Bureau

The Bihar government has issued orders for the transfer and posting of several senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. The changes are as follows:

  1. Mr. Paresh Saxena (1994-batch IPS officer), currently serving as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Bihar Police Headquarters, Patna, has been appointed as Additional Director General of Police-cum-Additional Commissioner, Civil Security, Bihar, Patna.
  2. Mr. Nayyar Hasnain Khan (1996-batch IPS officer), who was serving as Additional Director General of Police, Bihar Police Headquarters, has now been posted as ADGP of Economic Offences Unit, Bihar, Patna.
  3. Mr. Amit Lodha (1998-batch IPS officer), who was serving as Inspector General of Police (IGP), State Crime Records Bureau, Bihar, Patna, has been newly promoted to Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), State Crime Records Bureau, Bihar, Patna.

Following these appointments:

  • Mr. Jitendra Singh Gangwar (1993-batch IPS officer), Director General of Police, Surveillance Investigation Bureau, Bihar, Patna, who was holding additional charge as Director General-cum-Commissioner, Civil Security, Bihar, Patna, will now be relieved of this additional responsibility.
  • Mr. Sunil Kumar (1996-batch IPS officer), Additional Director General of Police, Special Branch, Bihar, Patna, who was handling additional charge of Additional Director General of Police, Economic Offences Unit, Bihar, Patna, will also be relieved from this additional assignment.

These transfers are part of an administrative reshuffle aimed at enhancing the efficiency and functioning of the Bihar Police force.
