The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has today announced a series of transfers and postings within the Indian Forest Service (IFS) cadre, along with assigning additional charges to two officers.
2012 batch IFS officer Anup Kumar Soni, the Conservator of Forests (North Circle), Sopore, has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect, allowing him to take up a new assignment in the Chandigarh segment. Soni was also holding the additional charge of Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Working Plan-I, Kehmil Division, Kupwara.
In a related development, 2010 batch IFS officer Irfan Ali Shah, the Conservator of Forests (Eco-Tourism), has been transferred and posted as the new Conservator of Forests for the North Circle. He will also assume the additional charge of DFO Working Plan I, Kehmil Forest Division, Kupwara.
Furthermore, 1991 batch IFS officer Sarvesh Rai, Chief Wildlife Warden of J&K, will take on the additional charge of Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) Eco-Tourism, while Pradeepchandra P Wahule, Conservator of Forests for Circle Jammu, will assume the additional charge of Conservator of Forests, Research and Trainings, J&K.
