47 IAS Officers Short in Jharkhand; 14 to Retire This Year

Currently, 14 IAS officers from Jharkhand are serving in central deputation. Among them, Shailesh Kumar Singh, Nidhi Khare, and Satendra Singh are at the Chief Secretary level. Additionally, Sunil Barnwal, Rahul Sharma, K.K. Son, Himani Pandey, and Aradhana Patnaik, who are at the Principal Secretary level, are also deputed to the central government.

Jharkhand continues to face a shortage of IAS officers. The state has 224 sanctioned posts for IAS officers, but currently, only 177 officers are serving. This year, 14 senior officers, including the Chief Secretary, are set to retire, further reducing the number of IAS officers in the state.

Several Officers on Central Deputation

Currently, 14 IAS officers from Jharkhand are serving in central deputation. Among them, Shailesh Kumar Singh, Nidhi Khare, and Satendra Singh are at the Chief Secretary level. Additionally, Sunil Barnwal, Rahul Sharma, K.K. Son, Himani Pandey, and Aradhana Patnaik, who are at the Principal Secretary level, are also deputed to the central government. Muththu Kumar and Harsh Mangla, at the Secretary level, are also on central deputation. Other officers on central deputation include Rai Mahimapat Ray, Shantanu Agrahari, Bhuvanesh Pratap Singh, and Divyanshu Jha.
