5 Newly Inducted IAS Officers in Kerala Get Fresh Responsibilities, Anu S Nair Made Dy Secy, Revenue Department

The Kerala government has appointed five newly inducted IAS officers to prominent posts across various departments. Ms. Hima K (2019-batch Kerala cadre IAS officer) has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Kerala Medical Services Corporation Limited, working under the Health and Family Welfare Department. This post has been declared equivalent in rank and responsibility to that of a Deputy Secretary. Ms. Anu S Nair (2020-batch Kerala cadre IAS officer) has been posted as Deputy Secretary in the Revenue Department and will also hold the full additional charge of Director of the Institute of Land and Disaster Management.

Mr. Arun J O (2020-batch Kerala cadre IAS officer) has been appointed as the Director of the Backward Classes Development Department in a newly created ex-cadre post. Additionally, he will serve as the Chief Operating Officer of the Wayanad Township Project, assisting the Special Officer appointed for the initiative. Mr. Rejil M C (2020-batch Kerala cadre IAS officer) has been appointed as the Director of the Animal Husbandry Department, another ex-cadre post created for a year. Both of these ex-cadre posts are granted status equal to that of Deputy Secretary to Government. Lastly, Mr. Sabin Sameed (2020-batch Kerala cadre IAS officer) has been posted as the Director of the Social Justice Department and will hold the full additional charge of the Executive Director of the Kerala Social Security Mission.

These appointments are part of the Kerala government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the administration and improve public service delivery at various levels.
