IPS officer Abdul Gani Mir has been appointed to the post of Inspector General (IG) of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on deputation basis. Currently the 1994 batch officer of AGMUT cadre is serving as Additional Director General (ADG), Law and Order in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the orders of Appointment Committee of Cabinet which approved Mr. Mir posting, the officer will be on deputation basis for an Initial period of 5 years from the date of joining the post or until further orders.
