The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has successfully facilitated 100 life-saving pediatric cardiac surgeries at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Centre for Child Heart Care. This milestone marks the successful implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on June 18, 2024, between AAI and the Sri Sathya Sai Health & Education Trust. Under the agreement, AAI sanctioned ₹1.5 crore to support these critical surgeries.
To commemorate this significant achievement, AAI hosted a special event at its headquarters, which was attended by trustees and team members from the Sanjeevani Centre. The occasion was further elevated by the presence of cricket legend Shri Sunil Gavaskar and Shri Vivek N. Gour, who recognized and applauded the collaborative efforts behind this impactful initiative.

AAI is a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU). It is a Miniratna Category-1 Public Sector Enterprise (PSE) under the Ministry of Civil Aviation. AAI is responsible for managing and operating airports in India. AAI also provides Communication, Navigation, Surveillance, and Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) services across Indian airspace and neighboring oceanic regions.
This initiative exemplifies AAI’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), making a significant contribution to child healthcare and saving lives across India.
