New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, bringing pride and celebration to several parts of the country. Among the top achievers this year is Panchkula resident Akansh Dhul, who secured the All India Rank (AIR) 3 in one of the toughest competitive examinations in India.
Akansh’s remarkable achievement has brought immense joy to his family, friends, and the people of Haryana. The news triggered celebrations in Panchkula as residents expressed pride over his success.
Family Background: Son of BJP Leader Krishna Dhull
Akansh belongs to a well-known family in Haryana. His father, Krishna Dhul, is a prominent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, while his mother, Nirmala Dhull, serves as a school principal.
The family resides in Sector 12A of Panchkula. Their son’s success in the prestigious civil services examination has become a matter of pride not only for the family but also for the entire city and state.
Soon after the results were declared, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini personally called Krishna Dhul to congratulate him and the family on Akansh’s outstanding performance. The Chief Minister said that Akansh’s success has brought glory to the entire state of Haryana.

Education: From Chandigarh Schools to SRCC Delhi
He completed his schooling in Chandigarh. He studied till Class 10 at Bhavan Vidyalaya in Sector 27, Chandigarh. Later, he completed his Class 12 from Sant Kabir Public School in Sector 26, Chandigarh.
After finishing school, he moved to Delhi for higher education. Akansh pursued his graduation in Economics and completed his BA (Honours) from the prestigious Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University.
Following his graduation, he began preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination and also underwent coaching in Delhi.
A Journey of Persistence: Multiple Attempts Before Success
Akansh’s success in the UPSC examination is a story of perseverance and determination.
He first cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2024 and secured the 342nd rank. In the following year, he improved his performance and secured the 295th rank.
However, despite already clearing the exam, Akansh continued his efforts to achieve a better rank. In his third attempt, he finally secured a place among the top three candidates in the country by achieving AIR 3 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025.
Currently, Akansh is undergoing training in Shimla.
Self-Study and Discipline Key to Success
During an interview, Akansh highlighted the importance of self-study and discipline in preparing for the UPSC examination.
He said that although he had earlier cleared the exam, he was not fully satisfied with his performance and wanted to improve further. Learning from his previous attempts, he focused on disciplined preparation and consistent self-study, which eventually helped him achieve a top rank.
Akansh believes that persistence and continuous improvement are crucial for success in competitive examinations like UPSC.
UPSC CSE 2025 Result: 958 Candidates Selected
According to the notification issued by the Union Public Service Commission, a total of 958 candidates have been selected in the Civil Services Examination 2025.
The category-wise selection is as follows:
• General Category: 317 candidates
• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 104 candidates
• Other Backward Classes (OBC): 306 candidates
• Scheduled Castes (SC): 158 candidates
• Scheduled Tribes (ST): 73 candidates
This year’s topper is Anuj Agnihotri, while several other candidates from across the country secured top ranks in the prestigious examination.
